Happy National Pancake Day to the Saving With Anna Family!
Will you celebrate today? I must admit that we are out of pancake mix, however, have you ever made it from scratch? We have recently during a different pancake batter outage and loved it.
I told a friend recently and she said that is something my husband would do, just whip it up. Well, I’m going to give you the details about how to whip up some pancakes without batter as well as how to get FREE pancakes today.
IHOP is giving a FREE stack of pancakes to each guest today with donations accepted for a local charity.
Here is the information from their Facebook wall announcement:
The wait is almost over. National Pancake Day is tomorrow! We’ll be serving each guest a free short stack of Buttermilk pancakes from 7am-10pm. And, you’ll have the option to leave a donation for a local charity. RSVP now:http://on.fb.me/wN1GPS. What location will you be visiting?
Go HERE to like their page for future promotions and to RSVP.
Does anyone have any other National Pancake Day deals to share?
So for whipping up pancakes, I visited our favorite last minute recipe website, Cooks.com and this is what I found pasted directly from their page, go HERE for the direct link.
|BASIC PANCAKE BATTER|
|2 c. sifted all-purpose flour3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. oilMix all together. Pour 3 tablespoons batter in skillet. Brown on both sides until batter is done.
I have added cinnamon, apples, bananas and chocolate chips to this recipe now- not at all at once. They were all yummy!
Another person suggested using buttermilk instead of milk and there are lot of comments on the page.
Give it a try and let us know what you think.
