Foodlion Closing Sale- 25% OFF

The company that owns Foodlion is closing a lot of their stores including some Bloom locations. Several in the Richmond area are closing.

I want to start this deal with a prayer for the folks that will be losing their job. How sad that they are losing it during the cold winter months post the holidays when jobs are not as available. I pray that they find jobs quickly that fill their pockets! I’m sure a lot of people will be losing their career and long time friends as well. Many positive thoughts to these folks.

For us bargain shoppers though, go to this list HERE and see what store near you will be closing.

From what I understand starting January 18, the entire store’s merchandise will be 25% OFF (except alcohol and tobacco products).

I do not know if they will still accept coupons during this time. Please let me know if you find out that answer before I am able to and we will post it to let everyone know the deal.

  1. Hi Anna,

The Food Lion that’s closing by where I live (Cary, NC) started their 25% closing sale on January 18, and they are accepting manufacturer’s coupons. As you mentioned in your post, the discount does not apply to alcohol and tobacco products, but also does not apply to milk. Many of the store’s vendors have already come in and removed their products from the shelves, so although there’s still plenty of certain items left, they are going fairly quickly.

Lastly, any items that are already marked down (like meats, etc.) do not get the 25% discount on top of that.

    Hope that helps!

    • Diane- Did you get any good deals at your Food Lion?

I’ve spoken to several folks that had great fun at the store closings this past week.

I have not made it to any of ours that are closing yet. Do you know the final day?

      Thanks for the input!
